With Melbourne Cup Fever in the air, our current soundtrack at Little Train Creative is “Makybe Diva”, a beautiful musical tribute to Australia’s much-loved “People’s Horse”, written and performed by Roger King and Cherie Sandoval (Top 10 finalist on The Voice).
This Melbourne Cup Day is particularly special as Australians come together to celebrate the legacy of Makybe Diva, who sadly passed away earlier this year. It also marks 20 years since the legendary mare was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame. Written with the blessing of owner Tony Santic, the song is a heartfelt tribute to a horse whose remarkable achievements captured the hearts of the nation.
